SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Elections; general registrars; their appointment, qualification, and term; vacancies; and prohibitions.  Provides that the electoral board of a city that is wholly contained within one county may appoint a qualified voter of that county to serve as city general registrar. Cities wholly contained within one county include Bedford City, Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Covington, Danville, Emporia, Fairfax City, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Manassas, Martinsville, Norton, Roanoke City, Salem, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Winchester.
