Appointment of guardian or conservator. Clarifies that in a proceeding to appoint a guardian or conservator for a person, a court may, in its discretion, appoint the spouse of the person.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Appointment of guardian or conservator. Provides that when a court hearing a petition to appoint a guardian or conservator finds that appointment of a guardian or conservator is necessary and the respondent is married, the respondent's spouse shall be considered for appointment as guardian or conservator before any other person.
