SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Local school divisions; behavior analyst certification for teachers. Requires that by 2013, local school divisions must employ one teacher who has current board certification as a behavior analyst for every 25 students with autism. An enactment clause sets forth an incremental schedule for implementing such requirement. In addition provides that upon achievement of a behavior analyst certification, a teacher will receive an initial state-funded award of $5,000 and a subsequent award of $2,500 each year for the life of the certificate.
