Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 24.2-417.2 as follows:

§ 24.2-417.2. Registration residence requirements; students.

A person attending an accredited public or private institution of higher education physically located in the Commonwealth may choose to be registered to vote either at his residence prior to his attendance or at his residence during his attendance.
