VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to amend Chapter 596 of the Acts of Assembly of 2000 by adding a section numbered 5, relating to the Southeastern Public Service Authority. [S 1523] Approved

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Chapter 596 of the Acts of Assembly of 2000 is amended by adding a section numbered 5 as follows:

§ 5. That the Southeastern Public Service Authority of Virginia shall in good faith entertain any and all reasonable landfill gas contract offers that have the potential to result in landfill gas-to-fuel or landfill gas-to-electricity and steam generation, thereby creating green-energy job opportunities and revenue to the area served by the Authority.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
