091413336Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-179.1 as follows:
§ 8.01-179.1. Rebuttable presumption in establishing boundaries of land.
In a proceeding under this article in which a plaintiff seeks to prove that he had a perfect legal title to the land in dispute by showing an unbroken chain of title to a common source of title, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that conveyances from the same grantor of separate, adjoining tracts of land constitute a common source of title.
