Celebrating the life of Jameer Khamarie Woodley.

WHEREAS, Jameer Khamarie Woodley, an energetic and lovable child, died January 9, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Jameer (Me-Me) Woodley was born to loving parents LaKisha and Timothy Woodley, Sr., on June 23, 2004, in Hampton, and had four siblings, Jamal, Jaylon, Jaleel, and the late Timothy; and

WHEREAS, Jameer Woodley was a bright and eager student who attended Riverdale Elementary School near Courtland where he was enrolled in prekindergarten; he enjoyed interacting with his schoolmates and learning new things; and

WHEREAS, curious and fun-loving, Jameer Woodley enjoyed participating in sports, learning games on the computer, and playing with his favorite toys; and

WHEREAS, Jameer Woodley brought great joy to his large and loving family during his short life and will be greatly missed by his loving parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of a promising young child, Jameer Khamarie Woodley; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Jameer Khamarie Woodley as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
