Commending Holy Trinity School on the occasion of its 85th anniversary.

WHEREAS, Holy Trinity School, located in Norfolk, is a private, coeducational day school for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students, offering a rigorous dual curriculum of Catholic and general studies; and

WHEREAS, founded in 1924, Holy Trinity School has upheld the rich heritage of Catholic Schools for 85 years; and

WHEREAS, affiliated with the National Catholic Education Association, Holy Trinity School students have excelled in both academics and athletics through the course of its 85-year history, and the faculty and staff have been a source of inspiration and guidance to generations of students; and

WHEREAS, Holy Trinity School’s philosophy embraces the integrated development of the church's fourfold mission of message, community, worship, and service; and

WHEREAS, Holy Trinity School strives to educate future leaders by instilling in them both the love of God and love for their fellow human beings; and

WHEREAS, Holy Trinity School is currently celebrating its 85th anniversary with events and commemorations to be held throughout the school year; and

WHEREAS, Holy Trinity School students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni look forward with eager anticipation to the many contributions that the school will make in the lives of future generations of Norfolk residents; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend and congratulate the students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni of Holy Trinity School on the occasion of the school's 85th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Deneane Nofplot, Principal of Holy Trinity School, as an expression of the General Assembly’s gratitude for the school’s dedication to the young people of Norfolk and best wishes for continued success in the future.
