2009 SESSION
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce celebrated 40 years of outstanding service to the vibrant and expanding business community of Northern Virginia in 2008; and
WHEREAS, founded and formally incorporated in December 1968, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has grown into the largest Chamber of Commerce in Northern Virginia with more than 1,300 members; and
WHEREAS, a private, nonprofit business association, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce works to "Make the Connection" and ensure the growth and development of new and existing businesses in Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce facilitates small business development and networking of businesses with common interests, advocates a pro-business public policy agenda, and provides vital education and other membership services; and
WHEREAS, as the chief advocate for the interests of Loudoun County’s businesses, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to protecting the Northern Virginia business climate and quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic organization committed to making Loudoun County one of the nation’s finest places to live, work, and establish a business; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend and congratulate the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its 40th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce as an expression of the General Assembly’s gratitude to the chamber for its commitment to the citizens of Loudoun County and the Commonwealth and best wishes for continued success in the future.
