Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 23-290.1 as follows:

§ 23-290.1. America's 400th Anniversary Commemoration; report.

On or before June 30, 2009, the Foundation shall prepare a report providing an overview of the planning and a record of events for America's 400th Anniversary Commemoration. Such report shall be prepared under the guidance of the planning entity and published as a joint document of the House of Delegates and the Senate of Virginia.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
