Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 2.2-2708 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 2.2-2708. Names of Virginians "Killed in Action," "Missing in Action", etc.; ownership of War Memorial.
A. The names and homes of record designation of all Virginians "Missing In Action" as a result of the Vietnam War and all Virginians
"Killed in Action" as a result of the Persian Gulf Conflict deployed in a designated combat area who were killed
in action, hostile
casualties, or nonhostile casualties
unrelated to self-inflicted wounds, who died as prisoners
of war, or who
are missing in action
shall be placed in the Virginia War Memorial.
B. The Virginia War Memorial, its grounds, all its contents, furnishings, funds, endowments, and other property, now owned or hereafter acquired, are and shall remain property of the Commonwealth.
