Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-302.01 as follows:

§ 29.1-302.01. Special license for active duty military personnel.

Any resident who is on active duty military service may apply for and receive from the Department a nontransferable state resident hunting license required by subdivision 2 of § 29.1-303, to hunt on any property in the Commonwealth according to restrictions and regulations of law. The license shall be issued at no cost and shall be valid while the person remains on active military service.
