098470724Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the conveyance of certain property located in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, by Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron on April 15, 1765, to John West, Jr. and his successors and assigns, made pursuant to authority derived from the crown of England and known as the "West Grant," shall be deemed a valid and proper conveyance by the Commonwealth of any rights, title, and interest as the Commonwealth may have had in such property, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point originally on the bank of the Creek (now called Cameron Run) at or near Simpsons Corner as originally Patented November 20th, 1678, and Re-patented by John Simpson January 28th, 1694; thence running with the line of Simpson N 67° 17' 12" E 2,755.50 feet to a point on the East line of the property described in Deed Book E-2, Page 437, thence running S 07° 42' 48" E 181.50 feet to a point (originally called a hickory stump), a corner to the Grant to Thomas Harrison by Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron dated May 15th, 1750; thence running S 77° 42' 48" E 165.00 feet, N 42° 47' 12" E 330.00 feet, S 58° 12' 48" E 1,056.00 feet, S 64° 42' 48" E 264.00 feet and N 51° 17' 12" E 297.00 feet to a point (originally called Harrison's fence on the Gut Land); thence running (originally called with the Gut bearing with its channel) S 40° 42' 48" E 363.00 feet to a point (originally called the Bank of the Creek) thence running (originally called with the Bank of the Creek the Several Courses and Meanders thereof) S 28° 17' 12" W 627.00 feet to a point bearing N 85° 49' 48" W 228.53 feet and S 28° 17' 12" W 5.18 feet from the North East corner of the Hooff Fagelson Tract, LLC; thence S 06° 12' 48" E 330.00 feet, S 03° 17' 12" W 231.00 feet, S 47° 47' 12" W 264.00 feet, N 76° 42' 48" W 66.00 feet, N 27° 42' 48" W 1,188 feet, N 61° 42' 48" W 495 feet, S 87° 17' 12" W 198.00 feet, N 74° 57' 48" W 643.50 feet, S 44° 02' 12" W 808.50 feet, S 42° 02' 12" W 231.00 feet, S 33° 54' 36" W 513.25 feet, S 51° 17' 12" W 330.00 feet, N 58° 57' 48" W 132.00 feet, N 31° 42' 48" W 198.00 feet, N 41° 12' 48" W 264.00 feet and N 45° 42' 48" W 462.00 feet to the point of beginning containing 74.9194 acres (originally called 74 acres in the Grant and 74 acres, 3 roods, 17 perch (74.86 acres) on the plat.
