Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. Special truck license plates celebrating Virginia's tobacco heritage; fee.

On receipt of an application and following the provisions of § 46.2-725 of the Code of Virginia, the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles shall issue to the applicant special license plates celebrating Virginia's tobacco heritage.  The fee for issuance of these license plates shall be $10 plus the prescribed fee for state license plates on the vehicle on which they are to be displayed.

License plates issued pursuant to this act shall only be issued for display on vehicles registered as trucks, as that term is defined in § 46.2-100 of the Code of Virginia.  Such license plates shall not be issued for display on passenger cars, motorcycles, pickup or panel trucks, or tractor trucks as defined in § 46.2-100 of the Code of Virginia.
