SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

State and Local Government Conflict of Interest Act; disclosure of real estate interests.  Requires local government officers and certain local government employees to list all real property in which they have an ownership interest including a partnership interest and any option, easement, or land contract. Currently, local government officers and employees are required to list real estate located in the county, city, or town in which they serve as an officer or employee and in any contiguous county, city, or town.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

State and Local Government Conflict of Interest Act; disclosure of real estate interests.  Requires local government officers and employees to list all real property in which they have an ownership interest including an interest in a corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, trust or any other business entity. The bill also requires local government officers and employees to list the names of co-owners of such property. Currently, local government officers are required to list real estate located in the county, city, or town for which they serve as an officer and in any contiguous county, city, or town.
