SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
VDOT maintenance; community service program. Requires the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner to establish a program whereby nonviolent misdemeanants who have a suspended sentence or who are on probation will mow rights-of-way or perform other landscaping tasks that VDOT is responsible for. The bill also provides civil immunity for the officials who participate.
