SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Concealed handgun permits; proof of competency with a handgun. Provides that once an applicant for a concealed handgun permit presents proof of competency such demonstrated competency will never expire.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Concealed handgun permits; proof of competency with a handgun. Clarifies that any honorable discharge from any branch of the armed serves may serve as the proof of competency required to obtain a concealed handgun permit, regardless of the year that the honorable discharge was issued.
