SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Healthy marriages and strong families. Authorizes the Department of Social Services to establish a program to support educational programs intended to promote healthy marriages and strong families. The bill also authorizes the Department, to the extent authorized by federal law, to allocate up to one percent of all funds received under the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to support this program.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Healthy marriages and strong families. Authorizes the Department of Social Services to establish a program to support educational programs intended to promote healthy marriages and strong families. The bill requires that, to the extent authorized by federal law, the Department shall allocate at least one percent of all funds received under the federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program to support this program.
