SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Parental notification; student's receipt of mental health treatment. Requires parental notification from administrative or instructional personnel and school counselors and psychologists who as a result of direct communication with a student have reason to believe that such student is suicidal or is at risk of harming others. In addition, requires parental notification of a student's receipt of mental health treatment for suicidal tendencies or other behavior indicating that such student may be an imminent danger to others. This bill is incorporated into HB 1005 (Fralin).
