Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 14 of Chapter 8 of Title 46.2 a section numbered 46.2-919.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-919.1. Use of wireless telecommunications devices by persons  [ operating driving  ]  school buses.

No person shall use any wireless telecommunications device, whether handheld or otherwise, while  [ operating driving  ]  a school bus, except in case of an emergency.
