Commending R. Michael Mohler.

WHEREAS, R. Michael Mohler has been a committed member and leader of the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics since 1977; and

WHEREAS, Mike Mohler has served as the president of the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics from 1991 to 2007 and his unflagging dedication has improved the employment conditions of all Fairfax County employees; and

WHEREAS, Mike Mohler has dedicated a significant amount of time and energy toward making the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department a national leader in fire and rescue service; and

WHEREAS, the measure of Mike Mohler's faithfulness to his community is witnessed in his leadership and commitment to organizations such as Affordable Housing Opportunity Means Everyone (AHOME), United Community Ministries, Fairfax-Falls Church United Way, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association; and

WHEREAS, Mike Mohler has worked tirelessly on programs to improve the lives of firefighters and rescue personnel and, in turn, to enhance the safety and security of the citizens of the Fairfax community; and

WHEREAS, with constant dedication, selflessness, and leadership, Mike Mohler has advocated the advancement of the health, welfare, and work environment of all segments of the working population; and

WHEREAS, Mike Mohler continues to serve the County of Fairfax and the Commonwealth as president of the Virginia Professional Fire Fighters; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend R. Michael Mohler on his outstanding leadership and service as president of the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to R. Michael Mohler as an expression of the General Assembly's appreciation for his accomplishments and his dedication to the citizens of Fairfax County.
