SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Income tax; checkoff for Department for the Aging. Establishes an income tax check off for income tax refund contributions to the Department for the Aging to be used for Medicare Part D counseling. This would be in addition to the current check off for income tax refund contributions to the Department for the Aging for providing transportation services to the elderly.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Income tax; checkoff for Department for the Aging. Provides that the Department for the Aging may use any income tax refund contributions received for providing Medicare Part D counseling. This would be in addition to using such moneys for providing transportation services for the elderly and disabled, which the Department is authorized to do under current law.
