SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Department of Correctional Education; videoconferencing.  Empowers the Department to provide access to postsecondary education that includes college credit, certification through an accredited vocational training program, or other accredited continuing education program, using videoconferencing technology.

SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Postsecondary education for incarcerated persons.  Requires the Director of the Department of Corrections to maintain a system, in conjunction with the Department of Correctional Education, to develop postsecondary education for incarcerated persons through the use of videoconferencing technology.
