SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Speed limits. Requires that traffic engineering studies conducted prior to posting speed limits on certain highways include analysis of available and appropriate law-enforcement data.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Maximum speed limits.  Requires that, before speed limits are increased beyond 55 miles per hour, not only must a traffic engineering study be performed, but also analysis of accident and law-enforcement data.
