SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Payment of fine, costs, forfeitures, penalties or restitution. Allows 60 days for the payment of fines and costs, etc., before the court imposes a deferred or installment payment program. The bill also requires that such payments be consistent with a defendant's ability to pay, that a judge must review the payment schedule if requested by the defendant, and that all defendants be given written notice of any program to pay off fines and costs, etc., through a work program. Finally, the bill requires that notice of suspension of a driver's license for failure to pay fines and costs, etc., be sent to a person at his place of incarceration, if incarcerated.
