SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:

Destruction of criminal exhibits.  Provides that the trial court may not order the destruction or donation of exhibits used in evidence without prior notice to the counsel for the parties and until expiration of five years from the date the judgment of the court became final.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Destruction of criminal exhibits.  Provides that the trial court may not order the destruction or donation of exhibits used in evidence until the expiration of the deadline for filing all state and federal habeas corpus proceedings or until the proceedings have concluded.
