SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Creditors of decedent's estate. Provides that debts and taxes owed to political subdivisions of the Commonwealth are to be considered claims that are eighth in line to be paid from a decedent's estate. Currently, such debts and taxes are not treated as a separate class of claims.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Creditors of decedent's estate. Provides that debts and taxes owed to political subdivisions of the Commonwealth are to be included in the class of claims that is sixth in line to be paid from a decedent's estate. Currently, only debts and taxes owed to the Commonwealth are included in this class of claims.
