SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Use of wireless telecommunications devices by holders of provisional driver's licenses. Prohibits the use of wireless telecommunication devices by holders of provisional driver's licenses while operating a motor vehicle, except in an emergency or when parked or stopped.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Driver's license applicable to those under 19 years old. Prohibits the use of wireless telecommunication devices for such drivers while operating a motor vehicle.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Driver's license applicable to those under 19 years old. Prohibits the use of cellular telephones for such drivers while operating a motor vehicle and makes a violation of this provision and other restrictions applicable to provisional drivers a primary offense, rather than a secondary offense as curremtly provided by law.
