SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; human trafficking; report. Establishes a joint subcommittee to study the extent of the problem of human trafficking in the Commonwealth. The joint subcommittee must also determine whether further efforts are needed to prevent and punish the crimes associated with human trafficking, and whether Virginia's endeavors are in concert with those of the federal government. The joint subcommittee must submit its executive summary and report to the 2008 Session of the General Assembly.
