SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Weight limits for gravel trucks. Extends from July 1, 2007, to July 1, 2009, the sunset on the statute granting trucks hauling gravel, sand, or crushed stone no more than 50 miles from origin to destination in counties that impose a severance tax on coal and gases the same weight limits prescribed for coal trucks. The bill also requires the Department of Transportation, in consultation with the Commonwealth Transportation Board, to recommend legislation regarding the operation of these overweight vehicles.
