SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Notice of right to receive full marijuana analysis. Provides that if defendant requests full laboratory analysis of marijuana 10 days prior to trial and if it is unavailable at trial, defendant's remedy is a continuance. Field analysis of marijuana is admissible at trial. Full lab analysis is available to the defendant if he requests it. Currently, such request may be made pursuant to notice provided "prior to trial."
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Notice of right to receive full marijuana analysis. Provides that notice of opportunity to receive full analysis of marijuana shall be on a form provided to the defendant by the law-enforcement officer at the time of his arrest or detention. Field analysis of marijuana is admissible at trial. Full lab analysis is available to the defendant if he requests it. Currently, such request may be made pursuant to notice provided "prior to trial."
