SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Environmental Health Education and Training Fund; civil penalties. Establishes the Environmental Health Education and Training Fund to support, train, educate, and recognize public- and private-sector individuals in all areas of environmental health. This bill directs the Board of Health to establish a schedule of civil penalties for violations of regulations governing onsite sewage systems, which shall be credited to the Fund. It also establishes a re-inspection fee of $250 for noncompliant onsite sewage systems, which fee shall be credited to the Fund.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Environmental Health Education and Training Fund; civil penalties. Establishes the Environmental Health Education and Training Fund to support, train, educate, and recognize public- and private-sector individuals in all areas of environmental health. This bill directs the Board of Health to establish a schedule of civil penalties for violations of regulations governing onsite sewage systems, which shall be credited to the Fund. It also establishes a re-inspection fee of $250 for noncompliant onsite sewage systems, private wells, migrant labor camps, restaurants, hotels, summer camps and campgrounds, marinas, and plants that process and distribute Grade A market milk products, which fee shall be credited to the Fund.
