SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Freedom of Information Act; certain information in rabies vaccination certificates.  Exempts the identification of breed of a vaccinated animal and any personal identifying information relating to the animal owner that is not made a part of an animal license application from the mandatory disclosure provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Freedom of Information Act; certain information in rabies vaccination certificates.  Exempts the names and addresses of animal owners contained in rabies vaccination certificates provided to local treasurers as required by § 3.1-796.87:1 from the mandatory disclosure provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. The bill requires that to be protected the animal owner must request in writing that the treasurer not release such information.
