SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Psychiatric Inpatient Treatment of Minors Act.  Clarifies that certain retired judges, substitute judges, and special justices are authorized to perform hearings under the Act and to receive compensation therefor. In order to be authorized to perform hearings, such judges or justices are required to complete a training program, prescribed by the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court, regarding the provisions of the Act. Specifies that special justices shall serve under the supervision and at the pleasure of the chief judge making the appointment for a period of up to six years, and that such special justices may be reappointed and may serve additional periods of up to six years, at the pleasure of the chief judge. This bill is similar to SB 738.
