SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Truth in Music Advertising Act; civil penalty. Makes it unlawful for a person, performer or performing group, or its agent, to advertise or conduct a live musical performance or production in the Commonwealth through the use of an affiliation, connection, or association, known to be false, deceptive or misleading, with intent to defraud the public, between a performing group and a recording group. Violators are subject to a civil penalty of not less than $5,000 nor more than $15,000 per violation.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Truth in Music Advertising Act; penalty. Makes it unlawful for a person to advertise or conduct a live musical performance or production in the Commonwealth through the use of an affiliation, connection, or association, known to be false, deceptive or misleading, between a performing group and a recording group. Violators are subject to a civil penalty of not less than $5,000 nor more than $15,000 per violation.

Truth in Music Advertising Act; penalty. Creates the Truth in Music Advertising Act and prescribes a civil penalty for any person who advertises or conducts a live musical performance or production in the Commonwealth through the use of a false, deceptive, or misleading affiliation, connection, or association between a performing group and a recording group.
