SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Elections; applications for absentee ballots. Requires that applications for absentee ballots contain the last four digits of the applicant's social security number.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Elections; applications for absentee ballots; duties of election officials on receipt of applications. Recognizes present practice of requesting social security numbers on applications for absentee ballots. Directs the general registrar to compare signatures on absentee ballot applications with signatures on registration applications on file with general registrar for those applicants who decline to provide a social security number.
