HB 1920 School bus decals; school boards may display decals with bus safety hotlines.
Introduced by: Christopher K. Peace | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles | history
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
School bus safety hotline. Provides that local school boards may display decals relating to local school division bus safety hotlines. Local school divisions must bear the cost of such decals.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
School bus safety hotline. Directs the Board of Education to establish a statewide school bus safety hotline to which local school divisions may subscribe. The Board must establish guidelines for the administration of the annual fee-based subscription service. A second enactment clause provides that the act must not become effective unless and until 25 percent of the school divisions in the Commonwealth elect to subscribe to the service. Further, the enactment clause provides that if the provisions do become effective and thereafter the participation rate falls below 25 percent, then the provisions of the act expire.
