SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 512
Celebrating the life of Angel Jančll Jackson.

WHEREAS, Angel Jančll Jackson, born on September 1, 1979, was called from labor to reward at age 26 on March 25, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Angel Jančll Jackson was born and raised in Henrico County, attended Henrico County Public Schools, and graduated from Henrico County High School; and

WHEREAS, she enrolled in Virginia Commonwealth University at age 23 and majored in fashion merchandising and marketing, and was awarded a baccalaureate degree posthumously in May 2006; and

WHEREAS, Angel Jančll Jackson loved dancing, which she studied in high school, fashion, shopping, the Dave Matthews Band, and children, to whom she gave unselfishly of her time and talents as a volunteer in the Richmond City Public Schools, mentoring and encouraging students; and

WHEREAS, family, friends, neighbors, and the congregations of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church will forever cherish the memory of Angel Jančll Jackson, and fondly recall her laughter, zeal for life, advocacy for HIV/AIDS research, and passion for the arts; and

WHEREAS, Angel Jančll Jackson, a loving daughter, devoted friend, an aspiring fashion designer, and citizen of the Commonwealth will be remembered for the hope and joy she brought to so many lives; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Angel Jančll Jackson; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Angel Jančll Jackson as an expression of the esteem in which her memory is held by the members of the General Assembly.
