070558756Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-936.1 as follows:
§ 46.2-936.1. Law-enforcement stop of motor vehicle; informing of reason for stop.
After a law-enforcement officer gives a visible and audible signal to a person to stop his motor vehicle and such person complies with such signal, the law-enforcement officer shall, when he approaches the vehicle, immediately inform the person of the reason he stopped the motor vehicle.
