Commending LifeCare Medical Transports, Inc.

WHEREAS, LifeCare Medical Transports, Inc., is a medical transportation provider founded in 1994 whose mission is to provide a needed service to communities while adhering to the highest standards in quality, efficiency, and reliability; and

WHEREAS, LifeCare Medical Transports began operations in the Fredericksburg area and has grown to 14 locations that serve Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Warrenton, Wytheville, Richmond, Newport News, Orange, and communities in Northern Virginia and the Northern Neck; and

WHEREAS, LifeCare Medical Transports offers a full spectrum of medical transportation services ranging from the most advanced critical care emergency transports to pediatric transport and from 911 emergency response to transportation to doctor's appointments; and

WHEREAS, as a part of providing state-of-the-art medical transportation, LifeCare Medical Transports uses the latest in communications software and is staffed with professional emergency dispatchers in order to optimize the coordination of services and operate as efficiently and reliably as possible; and

WHEREAS, all of LifeCare Medical Transports' paramedics and emergency medical technicians are highly trained professionals who give lifesaving care and comfort to patients and regularly pursue continuing education opportunities in order to improve their knowledge and skills and provide even better service; and

WHEREAS, LifeCare Medical Transports has a large fleet of modern ambulances and wheelchair vans that are inspected and serviced at the company's own high-tech vehicle maintenance center in Fredericksburg, ensuring that vehicles are kept in top condition and are promptly serviced; and

WHEREAS, beyond the critical medical transportation services it offers communities, LifeCare Medical Transports also contributes to the areas it serves by providing medical standby teams for community events such as the National Boy Scout Jamboree, the Marine Corps Marathon, NASCAR races at the Richmond International Speedway, and America's Walk for Diabetes, and many of the company's employees are active volunteers with their local fire departments and emergency medical service agencies; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend LifeCare Medical Transports, Inc., on its outstanding service to the citizens of the Commonwealth; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to LifeCare Medical Transports, Inc., as an expression of the General Assembly's gratitude for its dedication to providing the best possible medical transportation to the many communities it serves.
