2007 SESSION
WHEREAS, Frank Bensinger was honored by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Reston Interfaith, Inc., with a 2007 Best of Reston award; and
WHEREAS, the Best of Reston awards were established to recognize individuals, businesses, and organizations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the Reston community and improving the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, Frank Bensinger is the principal of Forest Edge Elementary School and for 17 years has led the school with a dedication and passion that are contagious; and
WHEREAS, keenly aware that a strong school depends on more than its administration and staff, Frank Bensinger has worked hard to invite and encourage parents and the community to partner with and support Forest Edge Elementary; and
WHEREAS, through Frank Bensinger's visionary leadership, Forest Edge Elementary became a communications and technology focus school and is a model for how technology can be used to enhance the elementary classroom experience; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Frank Bensinger for his outstanding service to the citizens of Northern Virginia and congratulate him on his 2007 Best of Reston award; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Frank Bensinger as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration and gratitude for his efforts on behalf of the students and community of Reston.
