062460232Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-226.11 as follows:
§ 8.01-226.11. No civil liability for witness in a criminal case.
Any witness in a criminal matter, in the absence of willful misconduct, shall not be liable in a civil action for any testimony against or identification of the defendant in such criminal matter, as long as the testimony or identification was done with the good faith belief in its veracity and authenticity.
