CHAPTER 521 An Act to amend and reenact § 18.2-477.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating to punishment for certain offenses committed within a secure juvenile facility or detention home. [H 2890] Approved March 19, 2007

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That § 18.2-477.2 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 18.2-477.2. Punishment for certain offenses committed within a secure juvenile facility or detention home.

It shall be unlawful for a person detained in a secure juvenile facility or detention home to commit any of the offenses enumerated in subdivisions 1 through 9 of § 53.1-203. A violation of this section shall be punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor.
