The provisions of this subdivision, including the provisions for the issuance of proof of consultation to carry a concealed handgun, shall also apply to a State Police officer who leaves the Department of State Police in good standing for a position in a criminal justice agency as a constitutional officer as defined in § 15.2-102, provided such officer meets one of the requirements set forth in clauses (i) or (ii).
