Whereas, Item 449.10 of Chapter 3 of the Acts of Assembly of 2006, Special Session I, (the Appropriation Act) set aside $339,000,000 for FY 2006-07 from the general fund to be used to implement transportation legislation as may be adopted by the General Assembly by November 1, 2006; and
Whereas, such item also required that "such legislation shall include a separate enactment clause allocating these funds"; and
Whereas, this act constitutes the legislation contemplated under that item; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the $339,000,000 set aside in Item 449.10 of Chapter 3 of the Acts of Assembly of 2006, Special Session I, shall be allocated as follows in FY 2006-07:
Federal required match for congressionally designated
projects included in P.L 109-59 of the 109th Congress; $89,000,000
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority
railcar storage
improvements; $15,000,000
Virginia Railway Express rolling stock purchases; $10,000,000
Improvements to the Powell's Creek to Arkendale
segment of the CSX rail line in the Fredericksburg
to Washington, D.C. corridor; $17,000,000
Widen I-66 westbound to three lanes from
the Virginia line to Falls Church; $90,000,000
Construction of the I-264/64 Interchange; $22,000,000
Route 164 rail relocations; $9,000,000
Route 460 improvements; $20,000,000
Preliminary engineering and design of the
Craney Island Marine Terminal; $14,000,000
Manage freight movement and make safety
improvement on I-81; $45,000,000
