SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Preservation of order at elections. Provides that the local electoral board or general registrar, rather than the officers of election, may designate, with the consent of the chief local law-enforcement officer, a law-enforcement officer to maintain order at a polling place; and deletes a provision for the appointment of special officers at the polling place.
