2006 SESSION
SB 34 Standards of Learning assessments; release thereof.
Introduced by: W. Roscoe Reynolds | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles | history
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Standards of Learning; release of assessments. Ensures that the timely release of the Standards of Learning assessments to the public will not limit the Department of Education's ability to test students on-demand and provide immediate results in the web-based assessment system. This bill is identical to HB 1059.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Standards of Learning; release of assessments. Establishes that, at least once every three years, the Board of Education shall make the Standards of Learning assessments publicly available. This would change the current practice of releasing the assessments in a timely manner and as soon as practicable following the administration of such tests.
