SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Campaign finance disclosure; definitions; exemptions. Provides that the exemption for Internal Revenue Code § 501 (c) (3) organizations will also apply to § 501 (c) (4) and (6) organizations so long as the organization does not advocate the election or defeat of an identified candidate. This is a recommendation of the task force that assisted the State Board of Elections in conducting a review of the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act pursuant to House Joint Resolution 667 (2005). This bill is identical to HB 292.
