SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Severance benefits to state and local officials.  Requires that any severance benefits provided to departing Cabinet Secretaries and agency heads at the state level, and any departing official appointed by a local governing body shall be publicly announced by the appointing authority prior to such departure.

Severance benefits to state and local officials.  Requires that any severance benefits provided to departing Cabinet Secretaries and agency heads at the state level, and any departing official appointed by a local governing body shall be publicly announced by the appointing authority at least 60 days prior to such departure.
