SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Litter control and recycling grants.  Changes the formula for allocating litter control and recycling grants. The bill would increase the percentage of grants awarded to localities from the current 75% to 90%. The 20% of grants allocated to statewide and regional litter prevention recycling educational programs will be reduced to 5% and will be awarded to localities and nonprofits for litter prevention and recycling. Up to 5% of the litter prevention and recycling grants will be allocated for administrative expenses.
